In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month and Mother’s Day, the District of Columbia Breastfeeding Coalition is launching its annual Mindful Mothering Campaign. As mothers, aunties, and sister-friends, we’re great when it comes to taking care of other people. This campaign invites you to spend at least 10 minutes every day for two weeks starting on Mother’s Day doing something to take care of yourself—mentally, physically, or spiritually. Choose from the campaign activities and earn points toward your personal goal.

This campaign also includes a fundraising component to help raise money to allow the DCBFC to continue its efforts in partnership with Children’s National Hospital to provide lactation support and education to all families, regardless of their ability to pay. All money raised through registration and donations will be used for this purpose. The individual leader in the mental health activities and fundraising categories will receive a $50 VISA gift card.

Remember to invite your friends and family members to join us and take good care of yourself!
